I wore a full 5 piece 'purple' average 575 quality HAZMAT suit with 600 gasmask, 600 leather duster..this gave me 100% radiation resistance as read on my character ragdoll. I motorbiked it to edge of map full RAD ZONE, and placed a sleeping bag just in case. I walked in expecting insta-death. The damage ticked away at about 18 HP per 5 second.

If that is actually implemented, and I THINK it is, then it gives you a whole 31% radiation resistance and 40% toxic resistance. Radiation zone still kills you but you should live 31% longer!

No. Darkness Falls is a mod that turns pretty much the entire wasteland into a radiation zone and it will make use of the Hazmat suit accordingly (20% protection per piece, pretty much useless unless you have 100%) With some mods yes. Very much. Nothing other than Walter and Jessie cosplay.

Hey I like to make 10-15% of terrain in wasteland into blocks with radiation. This block should give some damage, not much, maybe 0,5 dmg each tick/second. And also drain stamina. Then hazmat gear could help reduce damage/stamina drain from radiation, and if good enough, remove the radiation effe.

I had a hazmat suit on, but it didn't work. These quests should not be in a radiation zone, so hopefully it gets patched in the next update.
